Larder, Simone Duda age 57 of Dartmouth, NS passed away August 9, 2012 at her home. Born in Toronto, ON she was the daughter of Marion Clementine (Williams) Duda of Halifax and the late Cestmir “Mike” Duda. Simone grew up in Toronto and moved to PEI as a teenager. After High School she returned to Toronto to attend University where she decided to marry her High School sweetheart David. They were married in Sept Iles, QU. Sometime following their marriage the family decided to settle in PEI where she was a partner in the family fish smoking business. In 1984 the decision was made to sell the business and Simone attended the University of PEI where she obtained her BBA. Over the next five years she completed her graduate studies in accounting while living in British Columbia. The family then moved to Nova Scotia, finally settling in Halifax where Simone owned and operated her business, Liquid Boutique. Simone had a very deep love for Siamese Cats which was well known by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband David; daughter Erin Elizabeth; son Christopher David; brothers Gregory and Michael; mother Marion; and grandchildren William & Willoughby Larder. She is predeceased by her father Michael Duda. There will be a Memorial Gathering on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at Cruikshank’s Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax NS.
