Sophie Jean Szuler

Precious Sophie Szuler, 91 of Halifax passed away peacefully on July 31, 2023 at the Victoria General Hospital! Born in New Separta, Alberta, parents that immigrated from Poland to build a future and a family.

She has a twin Carol and 3 brothers. Once, they had grandchildren in Halifax, the 4- sale sign went up in Edmonton. They were her pride and joy. They never turned back. They embraced N.S. with open arms for the last 25 years. She loved cooking, coffee road trips, admiring the ocean views, colored homes and the landscapes, and her fur baby Micah. A sophisticated, elegant woman of integrity, faithful, spiritual, strong morals and ethics, dedicated in serving and loving grandchildren. She was proud of her Polish heritage.

Sophie is survived by daughter Denise Szuler, Halifax. Grandson Paul (Christina) Radchuck, Oakville and his children Hunter and Holton. Granddaughter Dr. Katherine Radchuck (Colin Gale). Twin sister Carol Galenza, Camrose, AB. Sophie was predeceased by, husband Zygmunt, daughter, Dr. Irene Szuler, brothers, Anton, Joe, Frank Musialek, son-in-law, Robert Radchuck.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to charity of choice. A "Celebration of Life" service will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 1pm at Cruikshank's Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor St. Halifax. Thank you to all the care given by caregivers, a special shoutout to the caregivers on 5A, especially at the time of her passing!
