

MOORE, Timothy George - 42, Halifax, passed away on April 1, 2008, in the VG Site, QEII, after a lengthy illness. He was a son of Cecil and the late Barbara (Lampier) Moore. Tim will be remembered by many who used his home-based car wash business near the corner of Windsor and Edinburgh streets. He had worked as a stevedore and landscape worker before settling on a career as a house painter and plasterer. Tim always found time to go fishing with his good friends. He loved playing pool and was also a consummate flea marketer and could frequently be found selling and searching for "treasures" on the weekend. He is survived by his father, Cecil, Halifax; sister, Kathleen, Surrey, B.C.; brothers, Michael, Middle Musquodoboit; Kevin, Lumsden, Sask.; Dermot, Port Hope, Ont., and Neil, Halifax. He will also be missed by his nieces, Andrea, Natasha, Jessica, Courtney, Becky, Sarah, and nephews, Ian and Justin. Cremation has taken place. No visitation by request. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, in J.A. Snow Funeral Home Chapel. Interment in St. John's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the VG Site, QEII.
