Archie Lee Nelson, age 61, passed away at Mercy Hospital, Friday, March 22, 2013. He was born on July 4, 1951 in Missouri. Archie was the son of Algean and Helen Nelson and a loving father and grandfather. Archie served in the U.S. Navy until 1992 when he retired as a Master Chief Petty Officer. He subsequently joined and retired as the Regional Director of Admissions from Miami University where he was well known as the spokesman in the "Ask Archie" campaign. Preceded in death by his father and brothers, Robert and Duane. Archie leaves behind his loving children Shevonne and Ryan, five grandchildren and many other family members and friends.
