Barbara Jane Carpenter

Barbara Jane Carpenter, age 86, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2020. She was born July 14, 1933, in Hamilton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Marshall Cash and Laverna (Sutter) Cash. Barb worked at Champion Papers where she met the love of her life, Ernie Carpenter. After they were married and had kids, she stopped working and her family became her full time job. Barb loves sports. They both loved going to Tari's many sports games and could always be spotted in the stands or in their lawn chairs at softball games. She didn't have many hobbies, but she loved watching UC Bearcat basketball and especially Reds games. Barb always looked forward to our monthly get together lunches with her sisters, nieces, and of course Glenn. Many laughs and good times were had on those days, and we would always laugh and talk about it later. Barb is survived by her sons, Tim and Jeff, her daughter, Tari, her beloved dog and constant companion, Belle, granddog Riley, sisters Virginia (Ginnie) Nichols, Verna (Glenn) Flannery, and many extended family members. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Ernie, mother and father, brothers Paul Cash, Charles Cash and Marshall Cash Jr., and sisters Marie (Cash) Beer and Mary Helen Cash. Visitation will be held from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Friday, July 17, 2020 at the Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home. Funeral Ceremony will follow at 1:00pm at the funeral home with Fr. Larry Yanca officiating. Interment will be held at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Vitas Hospice 151 W.
