Barbara Jean Sexton

Barbara Jean (Stamper) Sexton, age 88, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 5, 2024. She was born on July 23, 1935 in Beattyville, Kentucky, the daughter of Carl and Mary Stamper. Barbara graduated from Hamilton High Class of 1952 and retired from Ohio Casualty Insurance Group after 43 years of service. Barbara was married to Robert “Bob” Sexton on November 30, 1956.

Barbara accepted the Lord at a very young age, and was a charter member and a choir member at Fairfield Missionary Church (now Fairfield Community Church), and later became a member of Fairfield Wesleyan Church. Barbara enjoyed decorating her home, flower arranging, and visiting with her great-grandchildren.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Alcorn; her granddaughter, Michelle Nelson; her great-granddaughters, Lakean Nelson, A’drienna Nelson, and Bailey Stacy; her great-great-grandsons, Matthew Cook, Ashton Cruz, Zayvier Ober, and Sheldon Eblen; and her dear friend of 65 years, Rosemary Westerfield.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 11, 2024 from 11am until 12pm at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home. Funeral Ceremony will follow at 12pm at the funeral home with Pastor Steven Jones officiating.
