Bessie Marie Estes Himes

Bessie Marie Himes, age 79 of Fairfield, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Berkeley Square Nursing Home. She was born on November 9, 1933 in Cincinnati, the daughter of the late Herbert and Verdie (Elliot) Estes. On June 22, 1957 in New Haven, Bessie married her husband of over 55 years, Paul Himes. She graduated from Harrison High School and was a longtime member of Lindenwald United Methodist Church. Bessie loved sewing and playing cards, but most of all, spending time with her family. She was an avid bowler and especially loved winning at the game. Bessie is survived by her children, Lisa Marie (Tim) Menard, Rebecca Lynne (Rob) Alexander, Paul Christopher (Caren) Himes and Jennifer Rose Himes; grandchildren, Timothy Ryan (Megan), Nathan, Daniel, Kyrstin, Billy, Josh and Sarah; great-grandchildren, Ryder and Owen; sisters, Bonnie Protzman and Elizabeth Ann Estes; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Bradford, Benny, Bobby and Dennis Estes. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 12noon at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South “D” Street, Hamilton. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday from 11am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
