Bessie B. Fightmaster Reeves

Age 90, of Bourbonnais, Illinois, formerly of Hamilton, passed away Monday, May 7, 2012, at Emeritus at Outlook Manor in Westerville, Ohio. She was born on May 9, 1921, in Robinson County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Velva and Marion (Saunders) Wheary. In Louisville, Kentucky, Bessie married Rev. William F. Fightmaster and he preceded her in death on March 1, 1975. She built and ran Tiny Times Nursery School and she was a member of Millville Avenue Church of the Nazarene. Bessie is survived by four sons, Ronald Fightmaster, William David (Mary) Fightmaster, Jonathan Mark (Debra) Fightmaster and Anthony Paul (Janine) Fightmaster; eleven grandchildren, Teresa, Ronald, Joel, Gina, William Douglas, Kimberly, Timothy, Joshua, Caleb, Jonathan, Douglas and Benjamin; eleven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles (Wanda) Wheary and Robert (Ginger) Wheary; and many nieces and nephews. Bessie was also preceded in death by five sisters, Birdie, Dorothy, Goldie, Lela and June. Funeral services will be held at Millville Avenue Church of the Nazarene, 308 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, OH 45013, on Saturday, May 12, 2012, at 10am with Pastor Todd Dixon, Rev. Jonathan Fightmaster and Rev. William Douglas Fightmaster officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Family and friends will be received on Friday from 5-8pm at the church.
