

Age 86 of Hamilton, passed away on Monday December 15, 2014 at the Ft. Hamilton Hospital. She was born in Anderson, Indiana on June 7, 1928, the daughter of the late Roy and Essie Mae (Smith) Ellis. On July 2, 1948 she married Ralph W. Rogers and he preceded her in death on March 3, 1988. Betty was employed as a Social Worker with Butler County Welfare Dept. and eventually retiring from the Dept. of Worker’s Compensation in Frankfort, Kentucky. Betty is survived by her four children, Anita (Barry) Humphrey, Debbie Day, Steve (Sandy) Rogers and Greg Rogers; 6 grandchildren, Jill (Jeff) Deems, Luke (Trisha) Day, Whitney Day, Nichole (Mike) Matala, Erica Scott and Julie (Brandon) Waddle; 6 great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Mason Deems, James Day, Alexis and Austin Matala, Paxton Scott, and Tanner and Olivia Waddle; Sister Doris Kistner and brother David Ellis. She was also preceded in death by a sister Eunice Windham; four brothers, Leroy, Phillip, Billy and Gerald Ellis and son-in-law Harold Day. Funeral ceremony will be held at 10:00AM on Friday December 19, 2014 at the Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home with her grandson Luke Day officiating. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 PM at Beechridge Cemetery in Frankfort, Kentucky. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
