Brenda Sue McKinley, age 57, of Hamilton, Ohio, passed away Monday, October 12, 2026. She was born on November 29, 1968, in Hamilton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Gilford and Virginia (Brenkus) Cox. After obtaining a Juris Doctorate degree at the University of Toledo, Brenda went on to practice as a criminal law attorney. She was an incredibly intelligent, quick witted, strong-willed individual, who, in her spare time, enjoyed reading, watching various cooking shows and episodes of Seinfeld with her family, and caring for her dog “Coco.”
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilford and Virginia (Brenkus) Cox.
Brenda leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Elizabeth (Jacob) Dimmitt, and Kate McKinley-Brewer; her sisters, Debbie Cox (fiance Denver Hamblin), and Pamela (Charles) Weaver; granddaughter, Madeline Dimmitt; aunt Peggy Heis, and a host of other family and friends who will miss her dearly.
