Carl Gordon Martin

Carl Gordon Martin, age 94 of Dublin, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Brookdale Muirfield Assisted Living. Carl was born on April 25, 1926 in Hamilton, the son of the late Reuben and Mary (Young) Martin. He was a member of Laurel Avenue Church of Christ in Hamilton. He married his wife of over 72 years, Lucy Begley Martin, on December 28, 1946 in Hamilton, and she preceded him in death on April 27, 2019. Carl is survived by his children, Rhonda (Richard) Reynolds and Victor (Suzie) Martin; grandchildren, Peter (Rachel) Martin, Patrick (Delia) Martin, Justin (Megan) Reynolds, Lindsey (Rodery) Ruivivar, Gordon Martin, and Robbie (Andrew) Knapp; and great-grandchildren, Eddie Reynolds, Andrew Reynolds, Ariella Martin, Roman Martin, and Molly Martin. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife. Funeral Service will be held at 12:30pm on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South “D” Street, Hamilton with Charles Anderson, Minister officiating. Carl took good care of Hellen Fields my aunt!I always liked going to uncle Al’S and getting my Hair Cut! Not sure if he was taught to Cut Hair in the Navy! Denny and Vic were my age and Carl was a Big Kid Himself! They Had a lot of Neet Toys

I remember talking to Carl and thanking him for being such a good example of what a good and godly husband should be, his response was, "I always figured it was the golden rule, you just treat your wife the way you want to be treated"
