Carolee Jane Burnett

Carolee Jane Burnett, of Fairfield Township, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 13, 2018 in the presence of her loving husband, Ray Burnett. She was born Wednesday, May 24, 1933 in Jackson, Michigan to George William and Malta (nee Blankenship) Chaffee. Carolee was born and raised in Jackson, Michigan and graduated from Jackson High School where she met Ray (in homeroom) and two years later they were married. She attended one year at Jackson Community College and then started their family and became a stay-at-home Mom which was a priority in her life. She was a wonderful wife and mother and worked several jobs in retail and merchandising. Carolee loved cooking and baking and was good at it. She loved animals especially her cats and most recently one particular dog, Pluto. She was also very giving and always found ways to help people. Carolee liked to tease you and would let you know how she felt about things. Her sense of humor, great candor and soft loving nature will be missed by everyone. Carolee was preceded in death by: parents, George W. and Malta Chaffee. Carolee is survived by: husband, J.S. Ray Burnett; children, Steven (Jill) Burnett, Kevin Burnett, and Greg (Suzanne) Burnett; grandchildren, Ben (Sheryl) Burnett, Alex (Emma) Burnett, Clay (Alison) Burnett, Arielle Burnett, Nick (Lana) Burnett, Josh Burnett, Andrew Burnett and Rachel Burnett; great-grandchildren, Parker Burnett, Colten Burnett, Elliott Burnett, Nora Burnett and one more on the way; sister, Shirley (Gil) Saunders; and many loving family members and friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 16, 2018 from noon to 1:00 PM at Timberhill Baptist Church, 144 Timber Hill Drive, Hamilton, Ohio, 45013. Memorial service will follow at 1 PM at the church with Pastor Blaine McCleese of Timberhill Baptist Church officiating. Memorial donations may be directed to Hospice of Cincinnati, P.O.
