
SWANNER, Charles F. Age 92, of Hamilton, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 3, 2012. Charles was born on October 14, 1919, in East Bernstadt, Kentucky, to the late Phillip and Nell (Lincks) Swanner. He graduated from Sue Bennett College. On February 1, 1946 in Hamilton, Charles married his wife of over 65 years, Mattie M. Napier, and she preceded him in death on July 11, 2011. He retired as a foreman with Champion International Papers. Charles was a member of Hamilton West Baptist Church, a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, 32nd Degree Mason, Ben Franklin Lodge member, and a Kentucky Colonel. He loved being outside gardening and he always worked really hard. Charles is survived by his daughter, Phyllis Evans; granddaughter, Kristy (Evans) Craven and her husband Thomas; great-grandchildren, Sylas and Eli; brother, Otto (Bonnie) Swanner; and numerous nieces, nephews and other close family and friends. Charles was also preceded in death by two brothers, James H. and Edgar "Sam" Swanner. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2011, at 1pm at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South "D" Street, Hamilton with Pastor David Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home prior to the service from 12-1pm. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Hamilton, 1010 Eaton Avenue, Hamilton, OH 45013.
