Dannie Wooten, 78, of Hamilton, Ohio, passed away on February 5, 2023. Dannie was born on April 14, 1944 in Clay County, Kentucky. He is the son of the late Corbin and Sabrina (Richie) Wooten. He was employed as a coal miner, and construction worker before retiring in 1998.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Atta Mae Brumley, Camzie Eversole, Maxine Ross, Ora Hollin, Elvie Brumley, Zola Stewart, and twin sister Annie Henson; brother, Square Wooten; grandson, Kennie Gentry, and great-grandson, Chayton Gentry.
Dannie is survived by five children, Kandi (Philip) Johnson, Danny Wayne (Mindy) Wooten, Angie (Mike) Duncan, Jamie (Shannon) Wooten, and Tisha (Gary) Robinson; nine grandchildren, Amanda Jones, Miranda Wooten, Brittany (Duncan) Wooten, Mindy Wooten, Dallas Robinson, Michael Duncan, Cody Wooten, Kelsie Smallwood, and Nathan Robinson; eleven great-grandchildren, Chelsie, Maddison, Aiden, Gracelynn, Damon, Calen, Ka’Milah, David Jr., Kymora, Jefe, and Grayson. He also leaves behind one sister, Norma Baker, the mother of his children, Patsy Benge, many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 11, 2023, from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 2565 Princeton Road, Hamilton Ohio 45011. Services will begin at 1:00pm. Family friend, Mr. Harlan Wagers, officiating.
The family would like to thank Cindi Morris (HHA), Allison and Katelyn, and the staff of the IMC unit at Kettering-Fort Hamilton.
