Delores (Hering) Robinson

Delores (Hering) Robinson, Age 84 of Hamilton, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2017. She was born on February 17, 1932 in Hamilton to Reverend James and Thelma Dozier. Delores attended Seven Mile High School, where she graduated in 1950. She married Ronald Ray Hering, who passed away on January 13, 1994. Delores then got remarried to Cecil Robinson, who passed away on December 21, 2012. She worked as a key punch operator for many years before retiring in May of 1987. Delores loved to gamble, socialize, go camping, dance, play cards, and spend time with her family. She is survived by her children Steve (Sandy) Hering and Gregory (Barbara) Hering; grandchildren Ryan Hering, Jeromy Hering, Jessica Guthrie, Steven Hering, Josh Hering, and Missy Becker; great grandchildren Anthony Walls, Nathan Hering, Molly Hering, Sammy Hering, Paige Hering, and Lily Guthrie. Delores was preceded in death by her first and second husbands, son Russel James Hering, great grandson Jacob Taylor, and siblings Louise, Ruth, and Doug. Visitation will be held from 12pm until 1pm on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South “D” Street, Hamilton. Funeral Service will be held at 1pm on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoication at 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17 Chicago, IL 60601.
