

Age 86, passed away in Hamilton, Ohio on May 27, 2017, with her family around her. Delores was born in Hamilton to the late Everett and Mary Powell. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, William Carl, her brother, Everett William Powell, brother-in-law Lowell (Mary Lou) McGlothin and son-in-law Tom (Reda) Highley. Delores is survived by her sister Mary Lou McGlothin of Middletown; daughters Reda Highley of Hamilton; Marilyn (Harold) Terry of Hamilton, Carleen (Dave) Yeager of Hamilton, Laura McBride (Dave Martinez) of Burleson, Texas, Beth (Don) Angst of Hamilton and Carol (Mitch) Wilson of Burleson, Texas; eleven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, loving in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Although her main role was caring for her family, Delores also worked at Pillsbury. After retiring, she and Carl lived in Florida for several years before returning to Hamilton. Delores attended First Church of God in Hamilton most of her life. Most recently she attended Breiel Boulevard Church of God and Seven Mile United Methodist Church with her daughters. A memorial service will be held at Seven Mile United Methodist Church, 311 W Church Street, Seven Mile, Ohio on Wednesday, May 31 at 6:30 pm. Her grandson, Keith Yeager, will perform the service. The family is thankful for the excellent care provided by Queen City Hospice.
