Born in Akron on June 15th, 1935, Dolly grew up as one of seven children.
After graduating from Garfield High School, she proudly served in the U.S. Navy in Norfolk VA as a medical corpsman in the maternity ward, where she met the love of her life, George H Miller.
A Franciscan monk married them, and their beautiful 70-plus-year adventure together began.
Back in Ohio, Dolly poured her heart into raising their four wonderful children.
Later, she worked at Roswell Kent Junior Highs cafeteria as a manager, making lifelong friends along the way.
In retirement, she and George happily settled on the Miller Farm in Scio, she tended her flowers, loved baking sweet treats, was an avid reader, she loved nice clothes and loved all things sparkly and beautiful just like her.
But what she treasured most was simply sharing time and laughter with family and friends.
Dolly is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband George, her children James Miller (Maria), George L Miller (Julie), Steve Miller (Connie), Mariea (Miller) Lynch (David) and her seven grandchildren Christina (Jon), Matt (Jackie), Anthony (Tayler), Elizabeth (Dan), Corey(Greta), Andrew(Jenny) and Demetra (Luke) and her five great-grandchildren Kaylee, Jaxson, Luke, Leo and Jack .
She is also survived by her siblings Melva Stone (Bill), Donna Raines, Doug Maxwell (Sandy) and Michael Maxwell (Connie).
Though she’s now reunited with her parents and sisters Virginia and Annetta who went before her, her bright spirit, warm heart, and joyful sparkle will shine in all of us forever.
It was Dolly’s wish to have a celebration of life which will be planned for a later date
