Donald L. English, age 82 of Hamilton, passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Fort Hamilton Hospital. He was born in High Point, North Carolina, the son of the late Harry Lee and Dora Pearl (Miller) English. Don received his education at Virginia Tech with a Master’s in Electrical Engineering. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and member of Oxford Bible Fellowship. Don retired from International Paper as an electrical engineer. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Glenna (Kirk) English; two daughters, Kimberly (Patrick) Sabelhaus and LeAnn (David) Lee; five grandchildren, Christina Lee, Katiann Lee, Drake (Kayla) McAllister, Scott Sabelhaus and Ben Sabelhaus; one great grandchild on the way. Don was also preceded in death by his sister Bobbie English. Visitation will be held from 11-1pm on Monday, June 7, 2021 at the Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home. Funeral ceremony will follow at 1pm with Pastors Jeremy Carr, Garrett Nates, and Derek Whalen officiating with music provided by Abram Silvey. Burial will be held at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society SW Regional Office 2808 Reading Rd Cincinnati, Ohio 45206 and the American Heart Association 5211 Madison Rd Cincinnati, OH 45227. My brother J. C. and I were talking about all the things that Don had done. The one thing that stands out the most is when Don swallowed a hat pin and had to have emergency surgery.
I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. May God be with you and your family during this difficult time.
