Donna Marie (Hurley) Bowling, age 78, of Grove City, OH went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 1, 2018. She was born June 12, 1940, in Richmond, IN, to William Hansford Hurley, Sr and Leotha Catherine (Sanders) Bowling. She leaves behind her Daughters, Jill Powell, Hamilton, Jamie McCord-Capehart (Ed), Missouri, Kim (Dan) Poor, Grove City, with whom she resided; Grandson, Alex (Victoria) McCord, Missouri; Granddaughters, Delaney Poor, Grove City, Megan Capehart, Missouri, Christina Logsdon, Hamilton, and great-grandchildren. Donna was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, James Bowling Jr., her parents, Son-In-Law Don Powell and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She graduated from Hamilton High in 1958, and attended the University of Tampa, FL. Donna worked at Flowers by Don as the Office Manager for many years before retiring and devoting her time to her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the West Side Church of Christ, Hamilton, prior to moving to Grove City. She spent many years volunteering in the community and at her granddaughters’ school. She found her greatest joy sharing the love of Christ with young children as well as participating in women's bible studies. She had a spirit for adventure, and strived to live out her dreams which included travel and spending time with her daughters. She leaves behind a legacy of a life full of light, joy, fearlessness, unconditional love, fierce loyalty, and a passion for the Word of God. Celebration of life will be held Saturday November 10, 2018 at Rose Hill Funeral Home and Burial Park, 2565 Princeton Road, Hamilton, Ohio 45011 from 11AM to 1PM with the funeral service starting at 1PM. Donations may be made to the Seaside Seabird Sanctuary Indian Shores, FL. in her honor.
