Age 94 of Mt Healthy, formerly of Dayton, passed away on Monday October 13, 2014 at the Mt Healthy Christian Village. She was born on August 16, 1920 in Dalton, Missouri, the daughter of the late Raymond and Reaka (Meyer) Bitter. On June 25, 1950 she married Louis E. Hay and he preceded her in death on June 27, 2003. Doris was a homemaker but volunteered her time at the Montgomery County Republicans Club, Board member of the Mental Health Hospital and member of the Memorial Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her two children, Mary (David) Baer and Randall Hay; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday November 9, 2014 at the Memorial Presbyterian Church, 1541 S. Smithville Road, Dayton, Ohio 45410 with Dr. William Philips officiating. The family suggests contributions be made in her memory to Alzheimer’s Association, 644 Linn Street, Suite 1026, Cincinnati, Ohio 45203 or other mental health charity of choice.
