Eleanor Butler

Eleanor Butler, age 87 of Liberty Township, passed away at Liberty Station Health Campus on Thursday, May 16, 2024. She was born on February 14, 1937 in Clay County, KY, the daughter of the late Hubert and Zeldia (Webb) Cole. On April 4, 1959 in Oneida, KY, Eleanor married her husband of almost 49 years, Virgil H. Butler, who preceded her in death on February 23, 2008. She was a 2nd and 3rd grade teacher at Fairfield North Elementary for many years. Eleanor is survived by her children, Tad (Pam) Butler and Melinda (Jim) Briede; grandchildren, Zack Butler, Chloe Butler, Anthony Briede, and Rylan Briede; and brothers, Bruce (Sue) Cole and Milton (Caroline) Cole. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings, Shakespeare Cole, Dale Cole, Marvin Cole, and Janice Manning. A Visitation will be held from 11am until 12pm on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South “D” Street, Hamilton. A Funeral Service will start at 12pm on Thursday at the funeral home with Eleanor’s brother, Pastor Bruce Cole, officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
