

She worked as a housekeeper to support her family, meeting the daily demands of life with quiet strength and an unwavering sense of responsibility. Her care was practical and constant, expressed in the work she did and the love she carried for those closest to her.
In the simple pleasures of life, Ethel found genuine joy. She loved coffee and sweets, and she cherished being outdoors at Indian Creek Park. She was also a devoted Cincinnati Reds fan and enjoyed wordsearches, returning to them with a focused patience that suited her well. Above all, she loved her family, holding them close in heart and in habit, through the ordinary moments that became the most lasting.
Ethel was proceeded in death by her parents, Her siblings, Virginia Ball, Kenneth Ball, Ronald Ball, Butch Ball, Harold Ball, and Dessie Bell, and her daughter, Valerie Stanton.
She is survived by her husband James Durham, her sister, Pam Ball, daughter, Robin Brant (Steve), son, Jesse Durham, Grandchildren; Steven Brant, Jason Brant, Brittny Durham, Shannon Durham, Alexis Durham, James VanWinkle, Tiffany Taylor, Kevin Stanton, Adam Stanton, and 15 great grandchildren.
The family extends sincere gratitude to Birchwood Care Center for everything they have done for Ethel and the Family.
Services for Ethel will be held at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 2565 Princeton Rd., Hamilton, Ohio, on May 11th, 2026. Visitation will begin at 11am followed by Services officiated by Michael Ball at 12pm.
