

Fannie Pond, age 92 of Mansfield, formerly of Hamilton, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Twin Oaks Care Center in Mansfield. She was born in Cressmont, Kentucky on March 15, 1920, the daughter of the late Joseph and Sally (Hamilton) Goosey. In 1936 in Covington, Kentucky she married Alvin E. Pond who preceded her in death on February 2, 1981. Fannie retired from Champion International with 34 years of service. And was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church for over 50 years. She loved and dedicated her life to her family. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Moore (Kenneth) of Youngstown, Ohio; Deanna Shepherd (Darrell) of Lexington, Ohio. 6 grandchildren; Tonya Frost (Brian), Kristina Milnarsik (Jason), Rev. John Michael Pond (Devin), Katie Bell (John), Michelle and Sarah Shepherd. 7 great-grandchildren: Dylan ,Korey ,CJ Frost. Andrew ,Jack ,Henry ,Ruthie Bell. And many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband She was preceded in death by her son, John Pond (Karen); and siblings, Nettie Howell, Mallie Evans, Verlie Venable, Bill Goosey, Martha Hamlyn and Wilson Goosey. Funeral services will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1770 Eaton Road, Hamilton on Monday, January 28, 2013 at 11am with Pastor Orville Roach officiating. Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 10am until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to MedCentral Hospice of Mansfield, Ohio.
