

Gary McQueen, age 77, of Hamilton, Ohio, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2026. He was born in Manchester, Kentucky on April 16, 1949, to the union of Charlie McQueen and Lorene Robinson. He was employed as an electrician at Champion International for 42 years. Gary was highly intelligent. His friends and family affectionately knew him as “The Walking Encyclopedia.” He was a long-time member of Am Vets in Hamilton, Ohio, where he met and made friends easily and never met a stranger. Gary enjoyed spending time with his family, often vacationing at Myrtle Beach or in Gatlinburg. He loved golf, gardening, and playing the guitar.
He was preceded in death by his mother and his brother, Jerry.
Gary is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Betty; his father, Charlie; his sons, Brian McQueen (Lisa) and Timothy McQueen (Angie); his brother, Dale McQueen (Jeanne); his sister-in-law, Judy McQueen; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Ashley, Kyle, Mackenzie, Mallory, Mason, and a host of other family and friends who will cherish his memory.
Visitation will be held at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 2565 Princeton Rd., Hamilton, Ohio 45011 on Monday, July 27, 2026, beginning at 12:00pm, until time of services, beginning at 1:00pm. Mr. Mitch Burk, officiating.
