Gerald J. Engel, 70, of Hamilton, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph A. and Celeste M. Engel and nephew, Bo Kerby. Jerry is survived by his wife, Janet; children, Jerry (Monica) Engel and Tracy (Rob) Ficker; grandchildren, Austin Engel, Paige Engel, Tyler Ficker and Cassidy Ficker; brothers, Robert (Bev) Engel, Joe (Arlene) Engel and Rick (Laina) Engel; sisters, Cheryl (Barry) Ginter, Karen (Bill) Kerby, Jan (Paul) Eichhold and Gayle (Jammy) Anglin; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews as well as special uncle, George Engel. He retired from Champion Papers in 1995. Jerry enjoyed showing the 1966 Chevelle and show tractors that he restored. He also enjoyed woodworking and built many items of furniture for his friends and family.
