

Gladys Barnett-Norris-Tobias, age 99 of Fairfield, formerly of Hamilton, passed away at Woodridge of Fairfield on Friday, January 9, 2015. She was born in Smithland, Kentucky on January 24, 1916 the daughter of Mark and Nora (Southern) Fletcher. Gladys was a member of Redeemer Church and The Brush and Easel Club. A loving, giving person, Gladys was know as the official hugger at Woodridge. She is survived by her children, Shirley (the late Dominic) Scrimizzi, Carol Emrick, Carl (Veronika) Barnett, Michael Barnett, Winnie (the late Jake) Davis, and Ron (Mary Jo) Norris; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Helen (the late Bob) Warfield. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Carl Barnett, Alvin Norris, and Elvere Tobias; a daughter Gail House; a sister, Marjorie Donavan; and brothers, George Fletcher and Wayne Fletcher. Funeral services will be held at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, 240 Ross Ave., on Thursday, January 15th at 7:00 PM with Pastor Kim L. Katterheinrich officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
