

Grover Cleveland Thomas went on to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 23, 2011, at 9:56am at Schroder Manor. He was born on August 12, 1927, in Clay County, Kentucky, to Mollie Lee Benge and Grover Cleveland Thomas. He was married to Magdalene Yeary on October 16, 1948. Grover accepted Christ as his Savior in September of 1944. He loved the Lord and his family and friends. Grover served in the U.S. Army during WWII. In 1989 he retired from CSX Railroad with 35 years of service. Grover leaves behind his wife; daughter, Naomi (Ruth) Roark and son-in-law Richard Roark of Hamilton; son, David Paul Thomas and daughter-in-law Kimberly Rose Thomas; two granddaughters, Rhondella Roark of Richmond, Virginia, and Pauletta Adams of Hamilton; two grandsons, Joshua Thomas and wife Amanda of Cincinnati and Spencer Thomas of Middletown; two great-grandchildren, Kemper and Lillian Adams; two sisters, Bernice Harrison of Brookville, Indiana, and Zeda Kelly of Texas; and several nieces and nephews. Grover was preceded in death by his daughter, Norma Rae Thomas; mother and father; five brothers Otis, Jerry, George, Samuel and Willy; and two sisters, Vernie Thomas and Freda Jones. The Thomas family would like to extend their thanks for the great care given at Schroder Manor, Ft Hamilton Hospital and Hospice of Cincinnati. Funeral services will be held at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South “D” Street, Hamilton, at 10am Friday, October 28, 2011. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends and family will be received on Thursday from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Grover’s memory are suggested to Schroder Manor, 1302 Millville Ave., Hamilton, OH 45013.
