John and Susan,
Rock and I thought the world of Arky and Jane. We were thankful to be able to buy the farm from them and have a great life here. Lots of good memories. Now Rock and Arky can visit and talk farming in heaven. Jane may get a little bored listening! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family!

May the Lord comfort you and we extend our Sympathy to the entire family! I have memories of my grandpa, Lenox "Hacker" Vaughn taking my sister and I and often joined by our parents to the Auctions. Grandpa was so proud of his nephew, "Arky" It became our entertainment on the weekends to go. Many times when there was toys sold in a lot, "Arky" would bid for my parents, Harry & Geraldine Jarvis to make sure we took something home! LOL! He made the weekends fun! Years later I bought antique tables and chairs at an auction that I still have today and I have the memory of my Grandpa and Arky when I look at them. It was just a few weeks ago that I spoke to Arky on the phone and I really wanted to visit him but couldn't with COVID! I will see you again in Heaven "Arky" you were an unforgettable person! So glad you are united again with Jane!

To The Vaughn Family,
Mike & I are so saddened to hear about Arky! He was always
such an upbeat & fun individual. We so enjoyed having dinner
sometimes with him at Berkeley Square & we always asked how
he was doing when we didn't see him! Our hearts & prayers go out to each of you!

My dad, Robert McIntosh, and Arky were long-time acquaintances and friends especially later in life. They were even neighbors lastly at Berkeley Square. They shared a lot of laughs and a few sorrows. Since my Dad liked to share his baked goods, Arky would stop by occasionally with a quart of strawberries, hand them to my Dad, and would say, “Here. You know what to do with them.” Soon, a strawberry pie would be created and Arky would get the bulk of it and my Dad would have to explain he needed to keep some as a quality check. My Dad would discuss medical suggestions to help Arky through later difficulties as friends would.
Both men will be missed greatly.
Peace and deep condolences to the Vaughn family.

Arky was a great friend to my Mom and Dad. Dad always looked forward to playing cards with him every week. He always had a smile on his face and I loved hearing his laughter.

Arky was a very sharing man especially when he did work at the fair. He was such a friendly guy to the kids who were selling their animals. He and Jane were loved by the community.

Arky will be missed by many such a great person to all that knew him. Very sorry for your families loss. A true gentleman at all times. I would often bid on a gallon of paint to be able to stand on at the auctions to be able to see what what coming up next. Of course this stems from back in the 70's plus. Toni Sergent
