She was born on February 13, 1928 to the late James and Lucy (Dosier) Martin. Helen married Kenneth Smith, owner of Smitty’s Used Auto Parts, and he preceded her in death on September 10, 1962. She graduated from Southwestern College in Fairfield with an Associate’s Degree in Business. In her spare time, Helen enjoyed doing crafts and spending time with her grandkids. Helen is survived by her children; Kenneth (Rosa Lee) Smith, Brenda Sullivan, Janet (Theodore) Howard, Benita (Mark) Burgher, and son-in-law Richard Mix; grandchildren Melissa, Loretta, Corey, Kenneth, Suzie, Lindsey, Jennifer, Andrew, Shannon, Tristica, Marcus, Scott, and Jeff; many great grandchildren; and many great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Karen Mix, grandkids Donnie, Phillip, Nathaniel, and Aaron, and siblings Jesse, Marie, Jeanette, Geneva, Elizabeth, and Beulah. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 1pm, with Pastor Ray Phillips officiating, at Stratford Heights Church of God, 4419 Nelson Road, Middletown, Ohio 45042, with a visitation held two hours prior from 11am to 1pm. Burial will follow at Woodside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Bella Care Hospice, 4350 Glendale Milford Road, Unit 160B, Blue Ash, Ohio 45242.
