

Isidra Chicano Docena age 92 of Hamilton, passed away on March 12, 2012 at her residence. She was born on May 15, 1919 in Taft Eastern Samar, Philippines, the daughter of the late Andres and Felipa (Baliat) Chicano. On July 2, 1941 in Taft Eastern Samar, Philippines, Isidra married her husband of over 54 years, Romarico Docena. He preceded her in death on October 23, 1995. Isidra was a member of St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church. She is survived by nine children, Andrea Balein, Oliva Krause and husband John, Shiony Docena, Dr. Samuel Docena and wife Rose, Effie Bond and husband Bill, Reynaldo Docena, Regina Balein and husband Marcos, Raul Docena and Eloy Docena; son-in-law, Greg Balein; twenty grandchildren, Rowena Balein and husband Philip Koshy, Rizza Balein and husband Chad Lannes, Magnolia Balein, Nonette Balein, Marigold Balein, Glenn Balein, John Anthony Krause and wife Stacy Gilkey, June Lily Rose Krause and husband Chris Haynes, Trinette Krause and husband James Flynn, Dale Francis Ramminger, Dave Andrew Ramminger, Christian Docena, Maricor Docena, Jeffrey Docena, Lianne Grace Bond, Abigail Lili Rose Bond, Kenny Docena, Jesse Edward Docena, Jennifer Whitney Docena and Daphne Balein; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Haynes, Emily Ann Haynes, Jacob Lannes, Natalie Lannes, Nathan Lannes, Gabriella Balein Koshy, Phoebe Ann Krause, Sarah Marie Flynn and Anika Balein; sister-in-law, Erlinda Chicano; nephews, Andy Chicano and wife Edna, Boboy Chicano and wife Ellen, and Gerry Chicano and wife Lorna; and several cousins and great-nephews and great-nieces in the Philippines. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; children, Lolita Balein and Elaine Chicano; son-in-law, Romeo Balein; brothers and sisters, Olympia Chicano, Josefa Chicano, Hilario Chicano, Gerardo Chicano, Angeles Chicano and several other brothers and sisters; and nephew, Ruben Chicano. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church, 382 Liberty Avenue, Hamilton 45013 on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 11am. Interment will follow at St. Stephen’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10am until the time of the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made in Isidra’s name to St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church.
