

James "Rusty" Russell Abney Jr., age 55, of Fairfield, OH, began his final journey on July 10, 2012, at Hospice of Hamilton after a courageous battle against liver cancer. He was born on April 13, 1957 in Salinas, CA, the son of James Russell and Gabriele Perzl Abney. Rusty is a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a certified precision aeronautic machinist for Pratt Whitney, a Union Representative, owned his own Landscaping business and was the creator of the MSDS sheets utilized today in every business in the USA today. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gabriele Perzl Abney. Sadly, he leaves behind the love of his life and devoted caregiver, Darlene; sons Joshua, Jacob and Joseph Abney; father James Russell (Helen) Abney, Sr.; sister Gabriele Diana (Danny) Carroll; nephews Justin (Erica) Carroll; Mathew Carroll as well as many loving family and friends around the world. He never asked anything of others, but would help any and everyone in need. Rusty was compassionate and loved unconditionally. The family sends their thanks to Tony Johnson, the exceptional Cincinnati VA Hospital, Drs. Ahmed, Case, Naath, Ilyias, and the caring staff of the Hamilton CBOC, and Hospice of Hamilton.
