

James Douglas Howard, age 63, of Hamilton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 31, 2026. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on August 22, 1962, to the union of John Howard and Margaret Scragg. Jimmy could always be found working in his garage, building cars from the ground up, or frequently riding motorcycles with friends and family. He also had an impressive gun and knife collection. Jimmy was also known for being “head strong,” “funny,” and having a huge heart. He loved making memories with all his kids and grandkids, but had a special bond with grandson, Damian, also known as “Little Man.” Everyone will have memories that they will cherish forever.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his previous wife, Karla Rice; his brother, David Smith; his sisters, Francis Miceli, Judy Hensley, and Loretta Fields.
Jimmy is survived by his daughters, Brandi Long (Christopher), and Jenna Howard (Alexander); his brothers, Mike Howard, and Joe Smith; his brother-in law, Dennis Miceli; sister, Barb Kunkel (Rob); sister-in-law, Krista Rice; mother-in-law, Joyce Rice also known as “Maw”; his grandchildren, Damian, Josie, Josiah, JoElla, and Jaysie, along with a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 2565 Princeton Rd., Hamilton, Ohio, 45011, on Thursday, June 11, 2026, beginning at 10:00am, until the time of services, beginning at 11:00am. Pastors Sonny Hurd, and William Brown, officiating.
