Age 63 of Fairfield passed away Monday, August 10, 2015 at his home. He was born in Hamilton on April 20, 1952 the son of Roscoe Allen and Clara L. (Hooker) Lewis. James was an Army veteran serving from July 1972 to July 1974.He received the National Defense Service Medal and the Sharpshooter (Rifle) Commendation. A retired roofer, James enjoyed life and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved the Lord. James is survived by two sons, James Allen Lewis and Erik Mathew Lewis; seven sisters, Rita Lewis, Kathlene (John Fields) Lewis, Edith Lewis Toennisson, Nancy Lewis, Amy Lewis, Anna Lewis, and Jewell Lewis. He will be sadly missed by Tonya Jarvis and many relatives and friends. A memorial service was held at Fairfield West Baptist Church on August 21, 2015
