Janie Marie Thompson

Janie Marie Thompson was born March 30, 1935, in Barbourville, Kentucky and went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on July 16, 2026. She was a devoted wife for 64 years to husband Don who preceded her in death in 2019. Her favorite things to do in her later years were visit with family, watch the hummingbirds fly to her window feeder and read her bible faithfully daily. She is survived by two daughters, Donna (Terry) Baker, Kathy (Rick) Clayton, and two sons, Tom (Bev) Thompson, and Don (Caroline) Thompson. Grandchildren, Lisa (Scott) Paulsen, Lori (Duane) Warner, Casey (Christian) Baker, Jamie Clayton, Ryan Clayton, Josh Clayton, Kelly (Steve) Horner, Tommy (Errin) Thompson, Amber (William) Rotchford, Kristina (Nick) Golloher and Hannah (Marshall) Miller. She also leaves behind many great and great-great grandchildren that she dearly loved along with nieces and nephews. Janie was preceded in death by her mother Rose Conner and her father Claude Ledington, brothers Cecil and Creed Ledington and her sister Amanda Miracle. Funeral service will be at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 2565 Princeton Rd., Hamilton, OH 45011 on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, from 11:00 – 11:30am, with burial immediately following at Rose Hill Cemetery. Pastor Rick Witt will be officiating with Pastor Rudy Allen providing music loved by Janie. The family expresses great appreciation for the staff and residents at Woodland Country Manor of Oxford.
