I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Jeff. He worked for me at Simco a long while ago. He did a great job managing the Dayton lab. My deepest sympathy for the family.

I'm so sorry to hear of Jeff's passing;
I worked with jeff at SIMCO in Springboro, OH in the late 90's. We went on quite a few road trips together, traveling to KY, IN, and all over OH for calibration work. 
One time we even left all of our vehicles at our workplace, rented an RV with some other folks, adn drover to Talladega for the NASCAR race, camping out all week.
We liked to golf, bowl, shoot pool, fish, and throw darts any chance we could when we were on the road.
Those memories are cherished by me, and I hope his family finds some peace in this time of mourning.

“Which way Jeff?” mumbled one of my drunken passengers after a long night of bowling and billiards.  After moving up from North Carolina, and joining this new team, we were on another out-of-state assignment to perform a week-long calibration.  As their designated driver one warm southern fall evening in ‘99, without smart phones, and cruising around with two drunken coworkers in horse farm country, we were flat out lost.  My barely conscious mumbling passenger, Skeeter, was our deliver driver slash emergency metrology technician when needed.  Whereas, my lead tech, was a drunken 32 year young, and between sprawled out laying on the floor of the company van at times rolling or flopping around in the back barking out directions sounding like he was back in the Navy on an aircraft carrier.  Compared to countless other matches that normal brothers have, the core common connection Jeff and I had was our military backgrounds.  This night with his blind trust in our new friendship, was the typical scenario for my tag team brother in crime, we always had each other’s back.  Would have always followed his lead anywhere, just like that hilarious evening in the middle of blue and grass of no and where Kentucky, with his blood shot eyes closed and a drunken sh!t eating grin on his face, barking out wrong directions.  

“I heard that, Jeff!” yells Chrissy from the living room.  Like two underage kids sneaking around his kitchen trying slowly and simultaneously coughing out loud to soften the sound a beer bottle cap makes each time when they are twisted off.  Not sure if it really worked but we coughed a lot watching wrestling on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s nights inside their apartment, where I was treated as family and welcomed to live with until finding my own place.  Forever treasured is a picture taken from the inaugural weekend opening for King’s Island newest attraction, The Son of Beast.  In the front row is the two of us with our arms up, mouths opened with pure laughter  waiting for the drop that tried knocking the breath out of any non-local or local going into the next neck breaking turn.  His and his family’s appreciation of local Cincinnati chili can be suspect at best as well, lemme tell ya… it aint a southern thing.   However, Jeff was a big sports fan of most of the local teams and passionately described the relationships he had with his daughters and their energetic interests in the basketball rivalries.  Would probably say though, Jeff loved Halloween, horror movies, and anything he could find to scare you with.  Clowns was his go to prank, just ask his girls.   Jeff truly was the happiest when he spoke about his family, especially trying to scare the holy Christmas out of them… the whole year long.  The appreciation and love for Jeff, Chrissy, Ashley, and Staci, is beyond measurable.  Public apologies for too many coughs, sorry not sorry.

“Someone like you, Jeff,” with my arm outstretched and a single finger pointing straight at a professional 58-year-old supervisor, “but not you, Jeff.”  As describing who I was considering for guessing coworkers contemplating of leaving the company that would quietly make the biggest impact with their absence.  Purposely pausing the routine traveling home on a typical Thursday evening, I pulled Jeff outside to talk to my boss and catch up on the daily workload activities.  Nothing to uncommon as we often discussed business and developed a strategy for the next day’s task.  He had just received an outstanding work review and was happy while we had our normal moment together standing outside and near warm spring afternoon.   His hilarious wit, even at his peak, wouldn’t come close to his actual intellectual thought process accompanied with a cool and calm demeanor in his delivery.  From our intense infatuation for NASCAR’s Intimidator, Earnhardt to our last conversation for the love of Metrology, Jeff and I were one and the same.

Jeff was like family to me and all my cabin friends.
Never a bad word about anyone.
He was always in a good mood and supported me when I was not.
He was always helpful and did not need to be asked.
Jeff will be forever missed by me and all his cabin friends.

I’ll never forget how you tried to climb the rope in your suma wrestler suit to super fly me as I laid on my back in mine like a turtle !! Somebody get him !! 😂

Austin and his Uncle Jeff. Jeff was such a fun loving patient man . The most positive male role model he had . He was an amazing husband , father, uncle and brother in law !! We love you and will miss you! We will see you on the other side . No silly pranks from heaven please !! I’ll make sure to keep the shenanigans going down here .

Staci, Micheal and family so very sorry for your loss. You've been in my thoughts and prayers everyday and wishing you strength and healing.  Hope all those close to you can share strength at this hard time.
