Joan Rita Thomas

Age 85 of Fairfield, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Saturday, May 16, 2015. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on July 7, 1929, the daughter of the late Paul and Teresa (Fuchs) Henry. Joan graduated from Hamilton High School in 1947 and attended Miami University. She attended First Church of God in Lindenwald where she frequently sang. She would also sing on radio. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Diane Skillman and a grandson, Robert Castator. She is survived by her children, Jay Thomas, Bob (Becky) Thomas and daughter, Terry Thomas; brother, Matt Henry; grandchildren, Paul Castator (Kacey) and Shelby Thomas; great-grandson, Austin Castator. A Celebration of Life will be held at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, 240 Ross Ave., on Wednesday, May 27 at 5:30pm with David Castator officiating. Cremation has taken place.
