

Joyce Ann Butler-Nichols, Age 62 of Hamilton, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2017. She was born on June 3, 1954 in Chicago, Illinois to John and Ann Butler. Joyce attended the College of Saint Francis, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, with a minor in Microbiology. She worked as a psychiatric nurse for more than 30 years. Joyce was a member of Sacred Heart Church. She married Johnathan Nichols on October 11, 1986. He passed away in January of 2013. In her spare time, Joyce enjoyed hiking, reading, looking at jewelry, and practicing self-defense. She loved to spend time with her family. Joyce is survived by her son Matthew Nichols; brother John Butler Jr.; nieces Melissa and Jamie; cousin Steve Ader; many grandnieces and grandnephews; and special friends Kate Parks and Marie Kerr. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105. Visitation will be held from 5pm until 8pm on Friday at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, 240 Ross Avenue at South “D” Street, Hamilton. Funeral Mass will be held at 11am on Saturday at the Sacred Heart Church, 400 Nilles Road, Fairfield, Ohio 45014, with Father Larry Tharp officiating.
