Joyce Combs Wooton, Age 93 of Somerville, passed away on Thursday May 24, 2018 at Woodland Country Manor. She was born on January 12, 1925 in Kodak, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Anthony Wayne and Hettie Ethel (King) Combs.

In May of 1942 she married Wallace Wooton and he preceded her in death on January 22, 1984. Joyce was a retired educator having taught in several areas schools, including Hamilton, Reily and Talawanda. Joyce is survived by her four daughters, Patricia (Jim) Harmon, Elizabeth Wooton, Wayna M. Baker and Bonita Riddle; six grandchildren, Alesia L. Beck, Brian Lohrey, Jessica Lohrey, Cassandra Rice, Heather Hallila and Matthew Baker; eleven great grandchildren, Joshua, Audra, Alexis, Megan, Parker, Jackson, Mitchell, Lexi, Maddie, Christian and Calista. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Anthony Wayne Combs II, Ruth Hoffman, Clara DellAnno and Dossa White; three sons-in-law, Phillip E. Baker, Douglas Lohrey and Lawrence Riddle. A Celebration of Life will be held on June 16, 2018 from 1pm to 3pm at the Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home. Contributions may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
