Born on July 15, 1942, in Hamilton, Ohio, Judy was the daughter of James T. and Myrtle Bowman. She was known for her faithfulness, caring heart, gift of teaching, witty sense of humor, and unwavering devotion to her family, church, and community.
As a proud alumna of Miami University, Judy pursued a career in education and dedicated more than 30 years to teaching in the Miamitown School District. Whether in a classroom, church nursery, or family gathering, she had a special ability to connect with children and leave a lasting impact on their lives.
Her family, church, and ministry were at the center of her life. Judy faithfully served in the nursery ministry for many years and found great joy in sharing her faith with others. She loved playing the piano and singing Christian hymns both at home and in church. She was also known for her crocheted gifts, lovingly creating treasures for family and friends. Christmas was her favorite season, and she delighted in all the traditions, celebrations, and gatherings that came with it.
More than anything, Judy cherished the relationships she shared with those she loved. Her greatest treasure was her family and the countless memories they created together.
She is survived by her nephews and niece, James (Darlene) Moak, Sandra (Mark) Kuhlmann, and David (Brenda) Moak; by her brother-in-law, Warren Finkbine; her great-nephews and great-nieces, Sherry (Brian) Marsh, Jason (Natasha) Daniels, Curtus (Amanda) Moak, Stephanie (Ben) May, and Courtney (Jon) Moak-Smith; along with many beloved great-great and even great-great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, James T. and Myrtle Bowman; and her sister, Helen Bernice Finkbine.
Those who knew Judy will remember her kindness, faith, servant's heart, and genuine love for people. Her life was a bright light to all, her memory a treasure, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
