Katherine Day Dees

Katherine S. Dees, age 68, of Hamilton, Ohio passed away peacefully with loved ones around her, Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Atrium Medical Center. She was born September 25, 1942 to Mildred (Hunter) and Emmit Day who preceded her in death. She worked at Trenton Drug store until her retirement several years ago. The family would like to thank Dr. Kudalker, Dawn Koontz (respiratory therapist) and nurses Heather T., Cheryl, Stacy, James and Ha for their excellent care and compassion. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmama, sister and friend to all who knew her. Her laugh was contagious and was certainly inherited by her children. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, James Dees; two daughters, Jennifer Robinson and partner James Limerick of Trenton, Ohio, and Jessica Smith and husband Don of Eastgate, Ohio; one son, Darren Lewis of Trenton, Ohio; three granddaughters, Courtney Lewis, Stacy Lewis and Tabitha Robinson; great-granddaughter, Madison Lewis; and great-grandson, Owen Schraffenberger. She is also survived by three sisters, Barbara Gaunt and husband Jeff, Rita MacDonald and husband Barry, and Shirley Snelling and husband Michael; nephews, Jeff and Kevin Gaunt, Mike MacDonald and Steve Snelling; and niece Cindy Wilmot. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 21, 2011 from 5:30 to 7:00 pm at the Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, 240 Ross Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio with Minister Dan Philpot officiating.
