Larry Steven Short

Larry Steven Short, age 74, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2026. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on June 14, 1951, to the union of Lawrence Short and Wanda Lewis. Larry was employed in the security industry. Larry was a dedicated family man who loved The Lord and serving others was his passion. His family and friends will cherish his caring heart and his infectious laughter. In his spare time, Larry enjoyed spending time fishing and working in his yard.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step- father, Earl Ferguson; previous wives, Sandra Kay Short, and Sherry Short; daughter, Anita Watson-Short; brother, James Edward Short.

Larry leaves to cherish his memory, sons James Short and Chris (Billie) Newton; sister, Sharon Dipietro; grandchildren, Johnny Fitrakis, Jesselle Unger, Nicolette Fitrakis, Steven Fitrakis, Noah Singleton, Conner Short, Jade Short, Ethan Short, Alex Newton, Jenny Newton, Dani Newton, and Doug Newton; great -grandchildren, Kayla, Logan, Addison, Gabriel, Aubrey, Luna, Elijah, Aurora and Ensley, as well as other family and friends who will miss him.

Services will be held at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 2565 Princeton Rd., Hamilton, Ohio 45011, on Monday, June 8, 2026. Visitation will begin at 10:00am, until time of services beginning at 12:00pm. Dwayne Lee and Brad Mitchell, officiating.
