Many fond memories of our old friend!  Early 1980’s...

He was my high school friend.  Lehman was so much fun, never a dull moment with him.  My sympathy for the family's loss.  He will be missed.

My brother, Dennis & I met Lehman when we were  young kids, also Kenny, at a difficult time for all of us. He made a lasting impression on us with his positiveness & ability to be happy no matter the circumstances, & devotion  to family. Prayers, condolences to his family, cherish the memories.

I saw every game that he played at Taft his senior year. Lots of memories. Got to REALLY know him at Miami Hamilton. We wrote the sports articles for the school newspaper.  I actually got to play with him and against him in the intramural basketball league.  I was so happy that he fulfilled his dream of being a "cop".

My deepest sympathy to Lehman’s family. I haven’t seen Lehman in many years but have fond memories of him in my high school years.......

First off, my deep condolences to Lehman's family.  I did not know Lehman as well as most of you, but I wanted to share a memory that has never left me for over 40 years now.  Watching Lehman play basketball as a young kid was so exciting for me.  He could shoot better than 90% of the guys I either played with or watched during my time growing up in Hamilton.  He was quick and agile, had great court leadership and when he went up for a jumper it was lights out.  But the memory I remember most was Lehman's signature move where he would duck under your arms like he was going to pass the ball, then flip the ball over your arm back to him while you were turning around to see the pass.  Once you realized he hadn't passed the ball, he was already going up for his jumper making you look foolish.  Saw him do that numerous times to good players!  A fierce competitor that never ran out of energy.  My prayers are with the family and close friends of Lehman during this difficult time.

This is sad to hear a childhood friend has passed. Havent seen him in close to 50 yrs but have only good memories. Gods peace

I had the pleasure of working with Lehman when I was a 911 Supervisor and Chaplain at HPD.  He was a great person and we became good friends.  He will be missed.

I really did not get to know Lehman well until after we both retired from police work and ended up living across the street from each other.  He worked in Hamilton,  I in Fairfield.   He was the best neighbor one could ask for, caring for our home and cats when we were on vacation.   We spent many an hour telling war-stories from the old police work days, as well as Taft High School Basketball stories, where he was an outstanding guard on a great team his senior year (1971), and I was a rowdy fan in the pep band.   I will always have those great memories until I see him again one day and he catches me up to date on what all I have missed.    See you down the road, my fraternal brother (Hamilton PD #29).

Lehman is survived by his wife, Debbie (DeBoard) Dixon who has been by his side since July 1985; sons, Chad Dixon and Sean Dixon; and father-in-law, Don (Carmen) DeBoard. He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Veda, Libby, Kenny, and Jimmy.
