PROFFITT, Leonard E. age 72 of Hamilton passed away at University of Cincinnati Hospital on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at 7:11 PM. He was born in Crawford, Kentucky on October 5, 1940 the son of George and Ellen (Sergent) Proffitt. Leonard was employed as a stationery engineer for Champion Paper Company for 40 years, retiring in 2006. On June 24, 1961 in Hamilton, he married Billie Jean Cobb who preceded him in death in 2009. He is survived by his two children, Michael (Frankie) Proffitt of Camden and Amanda Souders of Largo, Florida; four brothers, Arthur (Jan) Proffitt, Roy Proffitt, Troy (Donna) Proffitt, and Russell (Kathy) Proffitt, all of Hamilton; two sisters, Martha Hemming and Gracie (Joe) Goebel, both of Fairfield; and five grandchildren, Courtney Howard, Zachary Proffitt, William "Billy" Proffitt, and Samuel Proffitt,.
