

Lloyd "Russ" Hix of Hamilton, passed away December 29, 2017 at the age of 70. Russ was born in Manchester Kentucky, March 12, 1947 to the late Thurman and Rosa (Deaton) Hix. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Linda (nee Scheiba) Hix and their daughter Sarah (Aaron) Hopkins. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren with whom he loved to spend time with, Alexander and Levi Hopkins. Uncle Shelby ( Brenda) Deaton and cousins Lloyd (Brittany) Deaton. Russ is also survived by his sister Wanda (Bobby) Short, brother in law Rick (Drema) Scheiba, sisters in law Kristie (Sammy) Smith and Kellie Gleason. Russ also leaves behind his nieces and nephews Becky Mills, Josh Short, Missy (Scott) McComas, Hannah Smith, Elizabeth Gleason and those he loved to go fishing and hunting with Brian Gleason, Sam Smith and Josh Couch. Great nieces and nephews, Austin and Madison McComas, Cheyenne and Luke Farler, and Vinnie Lunsford. His close friend Elbert Mays and many other friends and family. The family would like to thank his special nieces Katheryn and Elizabeth Gleason, the Hospice of Hamilton and the members of the Calvary Church of New Miami for loving care, thoughts and prayers. Russ was preceded in death by his parents and brother in law Larry Gleason. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Holding Hands CDC After School Program, 2355 Jacksonburg Rd. Hamilton Ohio 45011. Visitation will be 10am to 12pm with services following on Wednesday January 3, 2018 at Ivey Funeral Home, 2565 Princeton Road Hamilton, Ohio 45011. Service will follow at the funeral home with Pastors Jim and Diane Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
