He was born In McKee, Kentucky on October 10, 1942 to Myrtle Lakes and Luther Lakes, Sr. Carl enjoyed fishing, softball, target shooting and a lover of Cincinnati Sports teams, Bengals and Reds. In his spare time he loved being home with his family and dogs, doing yard work and cooking.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son Rodney K. Lakes.
Luther is survived by his wife Brenda, Son Raymond (Janet) Lakes and Daughter Lisa Matson (Richard) and Brother Richard and Sister Violet Pennington; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
A visitation for CARL will be held Friday, March 10, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Pastor Mark Wilson, officiating.
