

Margaret Esther Bond, age 78 of Liberty Township, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Westover Retirement Community. She was born in Laurel County, Kentucky on May 5, 1935, the daughter of Steve and Mary (Robinson) Mullins, Sr. Esther was employed at Community Blood Center for 18 years. She also volunteered many years at Mercy Hospital North. Esther was known for sharing kindness to the sick and needy, visiting the homebound and volunteered many hours for New Life Baptist Mission. She was a member of West Side Baptist Church and very involved with their charitable activities. On August 19, 1955 in Laurel County, Kentucky she married Ira Ernest Bond. They were married over 50 years when he preceded her in death on October 5, 2005. Esther is survived by her son, Dennis W. Bond and his wife Sandra; grandchildren, Sarah L. Bond and Rachel N. Bond; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by siblings, Cora Hamilton, Eva Hyde, Nora Ingram and Steve Mullins, Jr. Esther’s family thanks the Liberty Township Staff and Butler Co. Sherriff Deputies for their friendship and kindness shown her. They also extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Westover and her nephew, Ralph Mullins for their care and concern. Funeral Service will be held at Webb Noonan Kidd funeral Home, 240 Ross Avenue, Hamilton on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Richard Rhodus officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 12 noon to 2:00 PM.
