Marshall “Ron” Rommes, age 86, died peacefully at Fort Hamilton Hospital on January 28, 2019. He was born to the late Marshall A. and Amelia Rommes on December 30, 1932 in Hamilton, Ohio. Ron was a veteran in the United States Air Force, where he served for four years. He retired after 39 years of service at the Barry Furnace Company and worked several more years at Barry/Winstell Controls. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Juanita; children Ronald Rommes of Titusville, Florida, Robert Rommes and Cecilia (Tim) Andrews; grandchildren Douglas, Victoria, Stephanie; great grandchildren David, Aiden, Ostin, Kennedy, Patton; great great-grandson Logan; brother Nathan (Joan) Rommes; sister Sally (Barry) Gastineau and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Ron was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Naomi Graf. Ron loved his family very much and was a devoted husband and father. A visitation will be held at Rose Hill Funeral Home on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 6pm-8pm with a funeral service to follow on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 10am. Burial to take place at Rose Hill Burial Park.
