Mary Cleo Beane

Mary Cleo Beane, age 92, of Springfield Township, formerly of Fairfield, Ohio, passed away at her home on Sunday, March 17, 2024, surrounded by many of her loving family members. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on September18, 1931. On February 27, 1954, she married Robert Lee Beane, who preceded her in death in 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Ellen and Oscar Combs, her brothers, Curtis, Carl, Charles and William. Cleo is survived by her six children, Sue Ellen Beane, Gregory Scott Beane (Robin), Tracy Lee Fields, Brian Jay Beane (Lisa), Belinda Kay Davidson (Phil) and Robin Lynn Sorrell (Gregg), as well as by fifteen beloved grand-children and twenty-two great grand-children who affectionately referred to her as “GiGi”.

Cleo was a dedicated hard worker throughout her long life, being employed primarily at Avon Products and Bass Pro Shop, where she was adored by all of her co-workers. She loved cooking for her family and was famous for her homemade noodles and soups. In her younger days she enjoyed boating and camping. She also loved dancing (Jitterbugging) with her husband and spending time with friends. Family members could always count on receiving a card from her on their birthday and other special occasions. She retained her phenomenal memory until the very end, being able to recite the dates of birth and phone numbers of her entire family. Her death will leave a huge void in all of those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 11:00 a.m. at the Rose Hill Funeral Home, 2565 Princeton Road, Hamilton, Ohio 45011. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Southern Ohio Chapter, 2300 Wall Street, Suite H, Cincinnati, Ohio 45212.
