Melvin Eugene Eaton went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 31, 2026, at the age of 92 to meet his wife Janice Eileen Sullivan Eaton, who passed away in 1991. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Luella Eaton, of Hanover Township, Butler County, Ohio. Melvin and his wife, Janice, moved to Somerset, Kentucky, to establish a life together and build a beautiful home that overlooked the Cumberland Lake. Melvin leaves behind two brothers and one sister. His oldest brother, Homer Eaton, is of Carlsbad, California, with his wife, Nina Benedetto, and two nieces and a great-nephew. His younger brother, Bill Eaton, resides in Fairfield, Ohio, with his wife, Kim Lievestro Eaton, along with 4 children and 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. His sister, Joyce Eaton Leyrer, is married to Jim Leyrer, and they have 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Melvin was employed as an account manager for Correll Construction Company in Somerset, Kentucky. There will be a Graveside Service at Woodside Cemetery & Arboretum 1401 Woodside Blvd, Middletown, OH 45044 at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 19, followed by a Celebration of Life at noon at the residence of Aaron & Sarah Fitzstephens 6324 Prairie Court Liberty Township, Ohio 45044.
