By far my favorite teacher and mentor as well but even more a dear friend. I always enjoy looking back on all the memories. Yes and even the ones where maybe a practical joke went astray and hearing Mike screaming at the top of his lungs MONGO!!!!!! Rest in peace Michael you will definitely be missed my friend. My family's thoughts and prayers are with the McGuire family.

I knew Mike growing up and all through our school years. He was a good man and we talked occasionally on Facebook. I'm very sorry for your loss. May God bless your entire family.

To say Mike was a friend is an understatement.
He was my mentor. Ever since before I had a
driver's license, when he would pick me up in
his car and take me to see his band play, little
did I know I would go on to tour the country
with him years later. He was not simply a friend.
He was, to me, a life-changer and was a human
being I simply could not help but look up to. I know
all the family and I also know they know every word
I am saying is spoken from the heart. Thank-you, Mike,
for each and everything you've done in your life to
make my life a better one. God Bless!

I don’t know where to begin. Mike mentored our band, The Patriots. For this I’m forever grateful. Mike called me one day to tell me he bought a parachute. Within an hour I was tethered to the back of his pickup truck, flying 100 feet in the air. Many fond memories of the cabin at Lake Cumberland. Crazy days.
Thanks for the many memories.
